Kloiber Foundation STEAM Lab Opens
In March of 2022, the Kloiber Foundation STEAM Lab opened its doors to kids of all ages. The community was invited to come see the new, innovative space at the Central Branch of the Lexington Public Library.
Kids (and adults!) had a chance to use VR goggles, an audio recording booth, 3D printers, and so much more. Even the ribbon cutting was unique, with drones holding up the ribbon! It was a great celebration that introduced everyone to the exciting new technology being offered at the library.
The STEAM lab is open for drop-in hours Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:30pm, and the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month from 10am to 12pm. Scheduled programming events targeted toward elementary and middle-school aged students include Build Your Own Lightsaber, Green Screen Magic, 3-D Puzzles, Musical Fun with Specdrums, Recording in the Audio Booth, and so much more!
